“Designer Jessi Arrington packed nothing for TED but 7 pairs of undies, buying the rest of her clothes in thrift stores around LA. It’s a meditation on conscious consumption — wrapped in a rainbow of color.” I adore her creativity and exuberance, we can all apply her message to our own style.
ps – On my last Treasure Hunt I discovered mens English brogues and a mustard yellow & brown straw bag. Total $20. Tip – I carried my wardrobe wish list for guidance – keeps me focused!

What about washing/cleaning all of the things she purchased second hand before wearing them? I know that many of the places do not clean them before putting them up for sale! GROSS!
For some people it’s not a big deal. Either way Jessi is living her life authentically.
I love Jessi’s message. Like her, I believe that things are here to serve us and not the other way around. What a perfect example she is! She buys the things that make her happy and that bring something into her life. Now that is a bargain worth lusting after!
Well said Mina! Love your philosophy and site.
Carrie,
Let me return the compliment. I absolutely love your book. I didn’t realize how consistent my style was until I read it, and then I could see it in literally everything. Thank you for such an insightful way of looking at life.
Wishing you both all the best and much success!
