Shantel is a wife and mother of two boys. She is fascinated by design, art, technology, and a foodie in her soul. It’s been inspiring to follow Shantel’s journey in discovering herself and to watch her share that stunning smile with the world!

How did you arrive at your Style Statement? How did it feel at first?  How does it feel now?

I’ve been a Style Statement follower for four years, waiting for the opportunity to have my own. After I was laid off, it was the perfect time to give myself a gift and a new adventure. Since having my Style Statement I feel on fire, open to what’s next in my life. I have a renewed sense of purpose and I’m not playing it safe.

What does your Style Statement mean to you?

My Style Statement  is a new way of living my life with definition. A road map to create and experience life differently on my terms for me.

How has your Style Statement been useful to you?

I’ve been working in the healthcare industry for over 10 years, a comfortable job with great money. Then I was laid off. Initially I was devastated, but over time my Style Statement allowed me to see an opportunity to seek work in the area I’m passionate about – design.

When are you at your best?

When I’m organized, completed a goal and wearing a dress I love with a fun twist, yea adventure!

When do you hide/shrink?

When I am in the spotlight; I love being behind the scenes.

How can you your Style Statement support you in those moments?

“Design,” prepares me for social events and helps me plan my own parties. “Adventure,” gives me confidence to initiate a conversation.

If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A dress. I love the  beautiful designs of the 40‘s/50’s, women were so chic.  I admire Diane Von Furstenberg and Kate Spade such beautiful designs – full of pattern & color!

What inspires you? How do you know when you’re inspired?

Art and Design of course!  I enjoy reading about people who have courage, who take risks.  It inspires me to pursue my goals and it reminds even though I’m uncertain, I can create a life I love.

What do you like to be noticed and appreciated for?

I like to be noticed for giving thoughtful gifts – ones that reflect their true style.

How do you play?

I shop

What’s the best thing about having your Style Statement?

It inspires and moves me through my fears towards my dreams. Gives me the filter to make the right purchases when I’m on a shopping spree! Way less wardobe mistakes!
