I went shopping yesterday ... after several dead-ends, I ended up at an "exclusive" consignment shop. I'm adding a new work role in another week, and I used my Style Statement: Genuine Heritage. It helps keep me in harmony with myself. (While sometimes I "want" to be more on the side of trend and "edgy," when I try on that style, I get a "yikes!" moment in the mirror; my entire color and countenance is "off" 'cause it just ain't me! :-) The upscale tops and pants I found yesterday are classic and "genuine." I found lovely designer pieces (some with original tags!) while saving a huge amount of upfront money (honoring "heritage" by being a good steward of resources, both in dollars and environmentally). xoxo I love what Diane says.
