We can use our struggles as lessons. The fact is that discomfort, heartache, and anxiety are inevitable. We can’t avoid them, but we can accept them in a way that allows them to pass through with less suffering. The thing is to feel, even if it feels bad … when we don’t resist it, the feeling has nothing to hang on to and when the time comes, we can move on.
In times of distress, when you’re feeling raw, let your Style Statement comfort you … especially your second word. Your second word is what you desire more of in your life, and maybe what seems in especially short supply when you feel upset. For example, if your second word is Ease, focus on breathing, on going for walks to calm down, or on talking to someone trusted instead of bottling everything up.
Our Style Statements can support us through good times and bad — they can help us navigate through everything life throws us with as much grace and authenticity as possible.
If you’re in one of those wonderful times in life where everything feels sweet, delight in your second word and let it stretch you in moving toward what you truly want. If it’s a more challenging time, keep your second word close and let it help you be present to your dreams.

This post reminds me of a book I’m ready: “Colin Cowie Chic” by Colin Cowie. It’s my 2nd time borrowing it from the library & I have such a hard time putting it down. It’s all about style & living a full life. I SO recommend it!
Love Colin Chic Cowie! Thanks for the recommendation.
