We all want to belong
We all want to be unique
And make a difference
To love and be loved
Our critical voice often says we’re not good enough
Money gives ease and independence
Little things definitely count
We want to grow old with grace (and good posture!)
We want to be ourselves but fully expressed
If we’re going to chew it, it’s gotta taste good
People are more important than things
We want to trust our intuition
We’re afraid of failure
The desire to live simply and beautifully is universal. When we get out of our own way, don’t let fear stop us, trust our gut, and open our hearts, all is possible.
with gratitude,
C

Perfectly stated, Carrie!
Truth and loveliness, as always.
Thank you ladies!
We want to grow old with grace (and good posture).
Dear Carrie – I’m not there yet, but I stumbled across the blog http://www.advancedstyle.blogspot.com – and would love it if you would do an interview or a feature – inspiring and hopeful!
Here’s what another blogger (mommysstillfabulous) wrote about it:
When I grow up, I want to be… Fabulous…
A co-worker recently turned me on to this blog, and while it isn’t just about NYC, the city is represented well…..
The tagline is also perfect for what the blog is about:
Proof from the wise and silver-haired set that personal style advances with age.
It’s what I would consider a photo blog… but Ari Seth Cohen’s eye and style is so much more that just photos. I love how he captures the images of these older adults who really represent what NYC is all about: You can look fabulous, be fabulous, and stand fabulous at any age.
Love Ari’s blog, thanks for the link Kristi.
