The Classic Trench Coat

September 18th, 2009

arts&crafts..., by SOCIALisBETTERThe trench coat is one of fashion’s iconic pieces – a staple for every wardrobe. The coats that soldiers fighting in the trenches originally wore became known as “trench coats.”

I found my trench coat in a small thrift shop in a remote Canadian town. It cost five dollars. I looove it!

The beauty of a classic design like the trench coat is that you can make it your own and be Traditional, Bohemian, or Bold. You can wear it to the opera or to the grocery store. I’ll be wearing mine with skinny jeans and Converse runners, strolling with my baby, and feeling Refined Treasure.
